All DPP teams have completed a Pet Partners Handler Training Course – either at an in-person workshop or online. Does your animal have the aptitude to be a therapy animal? It should inspire confidence and be reliable, predictable and controllable.

When you join DPP you’ll be part of a group that finds Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI) very fulfilling.  Our members also enjoy networking, continuing education, mentoring and exploring resources provided by other members.

Welcome! Denver Pet Partners (DPP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the Human-Animal Bond to improve quality of life, benefit human-animal interaction and enhance animal-assisted interaction services in Colorado.

DPP teams are all registered therapy teams with Pet Partners and volunteer throughout Colorado.  Pet Partners allows 9 species of animals to be evaluated and registered.  Most DPP member teams visit with pet dogs, but we also have therapy cat, rabbit and horse teams.  Our teams donate thousands of hours per year and impact countless lives annually.

DPP offers quarterly meetings with speakers in the field of Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI). DPP works in collaboration with the Institute of Human Animal Connection at the University of Denver to provide learning sessions to our members.
