Our DPP Team of the Month for August 2026 is
Diana McQuarrie and Rigo (revisited)!

Diana and Rigo 2004

On the 25th anniversary of Denver Pet Partners’ founding, I am humbled to be asked to re-share a glimpse of the incredible partnership I was fortunate to have with my beloved, longtime therapy dog, Rigo. Although he passed in 2018, his consistently exemplary contributions as an ambassador for the life-changing power of the human-animal bond live on in his legacy. Rigo’s life exemplified extensive and outstanding community service, and he took his work to improve the lives of others very seriously, whether as a therapy dog, a blood donor for Animal ER, or a Red Cross Disaster Relief Dog.

To the DPP team: thank you for honoring Rigo and me by reposting our story. I am grateful to each and every one of you for your selfless service in continuing this challenging yet immensely important and rewarding work.

Together We Achieve!
