Denver Pet Partners (DPP) is an all-volunteer organization. When you become a member of DPP, you join the DPP family that is committed to spreading the word and sharing the healing power of animal-assisted therapy with our community. Being a DPP member also comes with the expectation that you will uphold the core values of the organization and that your behavior will be professional at all times and in alignment with DPP’s mission and applicable policies.

Note About DPP Membership Types

DPP recognizes two types of members – visiting members and supporting members.

  • Visiting Members: These members have a Pet Partners Badge with ID and perform AAI services at one or more facilities.  These members are currently registered with the National Pet Partners Organization. Visiting members must provide their PP ID when submitting the registration form.
  • Supporting Members: These members do not visit but are interested in supporting the mission of DPP and receiving communications from us. These members are not required to join the National Pet Partners organization.

The DPP membership fee is $45 for new members (regardless of type) and $25 for renewing members.

By submitting this application for membership in Denver Pet Partners, you agree to support and demonstrate behavior that honors our mission and core values.

DPP Mission: To enhance the social, emotional, and physical well-being of children and adults through comforting and supportive interactions with registered therapy animal teams, and to educate the community and inspire others to pursue this form of volunteerism.

DPP Core Values:

Integrity: We insist upon ethical behavior in all things, inspiring trust by saying and doing what we mean, and taking responsibility for our actions and the well-being of our animal partners.  As representatives of Denver Pet Partners in our community, our words and actions will be above reproach and supportive of the work we do.

Teamwork: We achieve together what none of us could do alone.

Respect for the Individual: We welcome a diverse membership by listening to, supporting, and genuinely caring about one another.  We advocate for the safety and well-being of our fellow volunteers, animal partners, and clients.

Service Excellence: We uphold the highest of standards by investing in member training and development and fostering value-driven relationships with our program partners.
